Exploration. The heart of innovation. In over 25 years, professional photographer Han Lans has developed a vast array of global projects that inform and inspire us. His journey began with journalistic photography, where he explored exotic destinations and photographed indigenous people across the world for commercial and advertorial campaigns. Later, his work expanded into the exploration of fashion photography. His fashion pieces have been featured in publications across Europe, including L’Umo Vogue, Italian Vanity Fair, MAN, Elegance, Elle, Deutsche Vogue, Miss Vogue, Taxi, Wiener, Playboy, Mode c’est Belge, BAM, and ID Magazine. Han’s curiosity and urge to explore defines his work, whether that work be commercial or personal. In 2000, Han created a photo project highlighting the lives of 12 South African children from varying backgrounds, which was exhibited at the Royal Tropical Museum in Amsterdam and later featured in a photography book that included a foreword by Nelson Mandela. In 2009, Han partnered with Philips Design to develop a new photography style for Philips Healthcare Worldwide. Han’s work is varied; he shows us innovation with each project. Han’s incredible commercial, journalistic, and editorial photography has spanned nations and continents, enabling him to gather an international network of professional production companies with whom he collaborates to offer an all-inclusive photoproduction package to his elite clientele. He has produced powerful work across the world, from Germany to the U.S. to India.
